The Eyes Have It and Going to the Library Again

One of the parts of Jimi that is really to fascinating to me are his eyes--the color, the way that he expresses himself with them, the twinkle in them when he laughs, the joy in them. Recently I asked him to "eye-pose" so that I could photo-document the color of his eyes. He obliged me for several shots and here is what the camera and I were able to "see."

So what color do you think Jimi's eyes are? And also important to me is how do I find that exact color in Adobe Photoshop Elements when I am trying to correct "red eye." Eye, the life of a grandfather obsessed with doing photoblogs with his grandson is not an easy one, don't you agree?

Quotes of Note

"Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them." Antoine de-Saint Exupery, 1900 - 1944 (killed in plane he was piloting in WWII)

"If you can give your son or daughter only one gift, let it be enthusiasm." Bruce Barton, 1886 - 1967

Jimi's First Visit to the Carlsbad Public Library, July 30, 2007

At 25 months and seven days old (approximately) Jimi seems to really enjoy books and magazines (and videos)--he likes to look at them and he likes to have them read to him. He is also curious about what he sees in books and magazines, always asking questions. For that matter, he is curious about everything around him. That he is one heck of a smart kid is obvious to anyone who is around this lad. It has been pointed out to me that I often brag about Jimi--and I do!

Did I take some pictures to mark this occasion? If you don't know that I did, then you don't know me at all. Here we go--
