Jimi's Mom and Dad

Jimi Victorino Campos Hoff's Mom and Dad met in the 9th grade in high school in Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1998. His Mom's name is Victoria Inez Echavarria Campos and his Dad's name is Darren John Hoff. They graduated from high school together in 2002, the same year that Chris and I, Darren's parents, took them to Phoenix, Arizona to look at ITT Technnical Vocational school. 2002 was also the same year that Victoria and Darren attended the Senior Prom together. In May 2005, Victoria received her asociates degree in general education and had planned to continue studies toward a teaching degree. Jimi was born in June 2005 and Darren received his associates degree in May 2006 in Graphics Technology with an emphasis in Architectural Drafting

On a visit to "Old Tucson" where many westerns have been filmed with the likes of John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, and Walter Brennan--a gunslinger (Ol' Tucson employee) flirts with Victoria.


In the saloon a "bar vamp" flirted with Darren--repeatedly--trying to get him to go up on saloon stage, but he refused to go. Meanwhile I desperately tried to get someone to flirt with me, failed, and vowed to drown my sorrow by eating more "western" junk food.

On the Arizona trip, Darren and Victoria traveled with Darren's parents Bob and Chris and brother Jeff, and all stayed at the home of Vickie and Tom Danton who live in Tucson. Tom and I (Bob) worked in two National Park Service areas together from the late 1970s to middle 1980s. Tom took us to the ol' Tucson "movie lot/amusement park.' He also took us to see Mission San Xavier del Bac, a mission founded in 1692 and used through the centuries for different purposes.



While on the trip, Victoria looked for a prom dress in a couple of stores, but finally decided to buy her dress in New Mexico. In May 2002, Victoria and Darren attended the prom.


So, if you have ever wondered how soon-to-be-15 months old (September 27,2005) Jim Victorino Campos Hoff got to be such a beautiful baby boy and the joy of so many relatives, now you know by looking at his parents.
